Girl Scouts and American Values, Do They Mix?

First of all let me say that there are many good people in the Girl Scouts, however, as an organization the Girl Scouts have becoming increasingly and disturbingly secular and post-modern in their philosophy. As all of this has been happening a new organization has been formed. American Heritage Girls seeks to replicate many of the positive aspects of the Girl Scouts but with a Judeo-Christian basis instead of a relativist point of view.

As just one example of the differences between American Heritage Girls and Girl Scouts, Girls Scouts of the United States of America has a working relationship with Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the world and during the year 2006 performed over a quarter million abortions without recommending one time that a mother choose an adoption for their child. Conversely, American Heritage Girls is enthusiastically pro-life with an emphasis on the sanctity of each human life.
